A renowned player in operational technology and digital transformation, my client is hiring a number of Software Engineers for the Transmission & Distribution sector. Recognized for their innovative solutions, they operate in complex, regulated industrial environments, delivering projects across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing.

The roles demand involvement in every phase of the system development lifecycle, which includes specification, design, programming, testing, installation, and commissioning. Other responsibilities will range from configuring existing solutions, developing new solutions, database configuration, coding, application engineering, to hardware interfacing, system testing, and commissioning. The job might also require occasional client visits and possibly overseas trips for training and integrations.

Essential Requirements:
 
  • A strong comprehension of SCADA/HMIs and control systems
  • Experienced programmer in C++, C#, JAVA, VB
  • Proficient in PC use & management of electronic files/folders
  • Sound knowledge of databases
  • Capacity to learn how to configure & navigate new products with manuals and online support
  • Ability to evaluate ideas/products for their suitability in a solution
  • Can effectively complete assigned tasks on schedule and in accordance with company procedures and standards
  • A collaborative team member with determination, willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues and clients
  • Committed to maintaining excellent health & safety practices

Desirable Skills:
 
  • Electrical Engineering knowledge
  • Understanding of electrical principles (Power calculations, etc.)
  • Ideally familiar with GE equipment or Copa-data Zenon SCADA
  • Experience with substation control systems
  • Effective research skills
