Job description
Cordius are currently looking for a skilled developer to join the UK's largest tachograph analysis provider.
As a member of the software development team, you will be focusing on the server-side data processing aspect of the solution. As a provider of tachograph analysis, the solution relies on the constant and efficient processing of large amounts of data, and we are seeking someone to assume responsibility for this area, implement new features, and suggest improvements. The role requires gaining knowledge of the business domain in order to contribute to the analysis of features and, as needed, to the overall software design.
Technology Description
The solution comprises multiple C# .Net Core services running in a Kubernetes environment.
Data is stored in a Mongo DB database.
Several other Azure services are used including Service Bus and Storage accounts
Deployment of services is automated via DevOps and the environment via Helm
Processed data is made available to other areas of the solution via .Net Core Web APIs
Unit tests and other automated integration tests are in place

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality software in acceptable timescales
- To take ownership of a significant and key area within the solution
- To suggest estimates of expected time to complete work
- Designing and implementing services using C#, .Net Core, Azure, MongoDB
- Designing and implementing web API’s using .Net Core, C#
- To work well within a team environment
- To abide by design and coding guidelines
- To be proactive and self-sufficient with excellent attention to detail
Essential Technical Skills
Desirable Technical Skills
- 3+ Years commercial C# development (where development had been predominantly in C# rather than other technologies)
- A good understanding of best practices with regards to software design
