Cordius is partnering with a fast-growing, innovative company that provides bespoke design, advanced engineering, and manufacturing solutions to clients in the automotive, marine, aerospace, and medical sectors.
We are currently seeking a Purchasing Administrator for our Daventry based Client This is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and dynamic team. This role is to support the Operations Team in the day-to-day management of the Manufacturing & Purchasing Departments for our client.
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000
Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Requirements:
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Knowledge of Access Supply Chain (not essential).
• Understanding of Purchasing MRP systems, Manufacturing environments, and related processes.
• Confidentiality in all matters.
• Professional approach and strong interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding planning, organisational, and time management skills.
• Strong team player with multitasking abilities.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Assist in expediting purchase orders to ensure suppliers deliver on agreed dates and in line with build programs, communicating any changes in delivery dates to relevant departments.
• Assist in expediting internal works orders to ensure departments meet agreed dates and align with build programs and customer requirements, communicating any changes in delivery dates to relevant departments.
• Generate and maintain expediting reports and spreadsheets, updating Business System software promptly.
• Process daily ad-hoc Purchase Requisitions, including raising Purchase Orders.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant ISO9001 procedures.
• Actively contribute to achieving departmental objectives, such as year-on-year cost reduction targets, supplier reduction, and improved stock levels.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management from time to time.
