Job description
Our client is looking to recruit a mid-level C# developer with at least 3 years of experience to work across the full stack of their cashless payment solution .NET estate. As part of the Technology & Innovation (T&I) team, you will work with developers, product specialists and support teams to maintain and make improvements to the solution. The position will be based in Nottingham with 2 days in the office.
Our client creates connected digital experiences for retail & hospitality. They help brands implement end-to-end hospitality & retail technology solutions to improve their customer journeys & drive productivity gains within their operations.
Their platform is being used by some of the world’s largest enterprises such as; M&S, Waitrose, Morrisons, John Lewis and many more.
Their core technology covers innovations in self-service, self-order, digital ordering, kitchen automation, transactional payment solutions, epos, inventory & analytics.

Our client is looking for a confident individual who will take ownership of software components across the full stack, designing, writing code, and driving engineering best practices. You will be in work on resolving the root cause of endemic problems, identifying team or delivery bottlenecks, seeking out improved operational excellence approaches to the services you operate. You will code features, test them, deploy, and support them.

- Scoring development tickets from the product backlog and roadmap.
- Developing hospitality & retail technology solutions including:
- Self Order Kiosk Software
- Self Checkout Software
- EPOS Software
- Mobile Order & Pay Software
- Digital Wallets
- Menu Management Software
- Associated Databases
- API platforms
- Integrations to other systems.
- Completing allocated points within a given sprint.
- Participating in sprint planning and retros.
- Interacting with Q&A to ensure development tickets are released without defects.
- Interpreting user stories and product requirements from Product team and external clients or prospects.
- Handling builds and deployment across the development lifecycle.
- Assisting the business & directors with other tasks wherever reasonably required.
What we need from you
Essential:
- C# (.NET Framework AND .NET Core)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- MS SQL
- Rest API development experience (C#)
- MVC and ASP.NET experience (C#)
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Experience using Git for source control
Desirable:
- Java experience
- React experience
- React Native experience
- Angular experience
- C++ experience
- Experience working with Azure
- Experience supporting a Cloud based EPOS system or similar industry experience
Qualifications
Degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
