Senior Software Engineer - UK / Remote
You’ll join a team of talented senior engineers at this high-growth, product-focused company. If you love management this won’t be the role for you. We’re looking for an experienced hands-on software engineer, someone who can shepherd features from idea through to real-world usage, and who has the experience to make the hundred small decisions along the way that requires.
The tech stack includes; Terraform, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, Ruby on Rails, React, SASS.
Familiarity with any of the above is a benefit and if you have Ruby experience then that’s great, but they’re happy to consider candidates from another tech (as long as you are willing to learn Ruby). What they definitely want to see is the experience of building software the right way, with good software engineering practices (Agile, Unit Testing, SOLID, etc.). In short, they need a developer smart enough to learn what’s necessary (with their help of course).
They are remote-first as an engineering team - even before the pandemic they were fully remote. When it’s sensible to do so the team will meet in person once every couple of weeks. The team currently covers the Midlands and South of England, and the Engineering Team meetups usually happen in London. The company HQ is in the Midlands and that’s where they usually have company meetups. Any travel costs to these meetings will be expensed.
Salary: £60,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
Location: UK / Remote / Home Working
