Job description

Cordius is working with an innovative, fast-growing UK company that develops, sources and markets educational equipment and supplies to schools and nurseries.

Currently they are looking for a Marketing Manager that will have an in-depth knowledge of direct marketing activities, especially direct mail order merchandising, mail orders, FMCG, and multi-channel retail experience.

The Person:

  • Experience of managing a Direct Marketing programme on limited budget across a range of channels
  • Knowledge of catalogue production, mail, digital and marketing databases
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing
  • Understanding of GDPR
  • An excellent understanding and application of a range of direct marketing methods.
  • Excellent campaign management skills from conception to evaluation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Able to multi-task, work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Producing, analysing and interpreting statistical data

 

The Role:

Strategy and Plan:

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns
  • Develop and implement a strategy to identify and grow income streams from direct marketing activity
  • Carry out testing and rollout of appropriate techniques, products and campaigns to deliver the Direct Marketing strategy
  • Maintain and supply content for the website ensuring content is optimised
  • Create and devise strategies to drive online traffic to the company website
  • SEO implementation and best practice techniques
  • AdWords and PPC campaign management
  • Create and manage social media campaigns including monitoring and evaluating conversations
  • Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all marketing activities
  • Develop a strong personality though our messaging across all media channels
  • Pursue new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in marketing
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Publish a 12-week programme to develop a digital and direct marketing strategy
  • Create monthly progress reports on marketing activities

 

Competitor analysis:

  • Track national and international competition in both education and retail markets to build our competitive advantage
  • Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data

 

Data:

  • Develop data to track performance and compile reports on customer behaviour and trends
  • Identify target audiences and develop plans to engage them though our media channels
  • Customer segmentation and targeted direct marketing campaign management
  • The ability to create online communication establish hourly response rate and SOP
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experiences across multiple channels and customer touch points
