Cloud Hosting/DevOps Manager
Job description
In an exclusive role to Cordius, our client — a mobile and web app with over 200,000 active monthly users — is looking for a Cloud Hosting/DevOps Manager with several years of commercial experience in scaling web services and deploying web applications, and knowledge of the best practices in deploying software and server debugging.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of the hosting environment, identifying ways to optimise the system, improve stability and build capacity in a rapidly growing international service.
- Set up and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to measure improvements you’ve implemented.
- Help train the wider technical team in out-of-hours support by documenting key diagnostic procedures and best practice to remedy simple systems errors.
Technical skills:
- 3 years or more experience of AWS hosting
- Solid understanding of mySQL, SQL server and Linux.
- Strong understanding of security design principles and their implementation in AWS
- Experience with setup and configuration of AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route53, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS, SQS, Elasticsearch
- Experience with Infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation
- Experience building CI/CD Pipelines
Skills and Experience:
- 3 years or more experience of AWS hosting
- Solid understanding of mySQL, SQL server and Linux.
- Eager to learn and contribute to a high-volume customer-facing service
- Team player, good communication skills
