The company are one of the top Aerospace Security and defence contractors in the UK. Following a series of significant contract awards through 2017, the company faces a period of significant growth in their Security & Information Systems Business. They are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Manager to lead Homeland security sales in the UK and manage key accounts in this space (UK Home office, Police forces and emergency responders, Border Force).


As they continue to successfully grow their business within this market they need a sales leader that can target opportunities ranging from £5M to £100M, either working directly with the end customer, into other primes or within consortia. With an absolute focus on winning, the sales manager will be expected to develop and implement strategies to maximise the company’s return on investment. Ability to work across the company to understand and promote their wider capabilities is also essential


Key experience


  • Track record in creating opportunities, building a pipeline, closing sales in a completive environment, and building long term customer relationships that drive benefit into the company.   
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen and ability to make and deliver forecasts to hit budget targets.                
  • Policing / Security background in UK and International markets would be advantageous, together with solid understanding of the underlying technologies and architectures and client mission/business goals.


 To succeed you'll need to be a dynamic and driven experienced senior sales manager who can deliver the companies ambitious growth targets. Successful candidates will also be required to develop, own and deliver key bids and manage key accounts. Reporting to the Head of Sales and working across functional disciplines and particularly closely with the operations team and the VP of Homeland Security and Critical National Infrastructures Line of the Business. You will lead campaigns and sales opportunities in the Security, Government and CNI markets to deliver order intake targets.


The companies Security and Information Systems provide services and solutions to support National Governments and commercial organisations that form the UK’s critical national infrastructure, in dealing with modern and evolving threats to well-being, security and public safety.
