Engineering Team Manager
As the Engineering Team Manager you will lead and motivate the Engineering Team to deliver all engineering activities including planned, predictive and reactive maintenance engineering, and identify improvements to benefit the site and reduce downtime to deliver the customer promise.

Key accountabilities and measures include: Manage the cycle of planned, predictive and reactive maintenance across the site, working closely with Operations, Flow Room and Planning to do this with minimal impact to the operation driving continuous improvement. Prioritise planned, predictive and reactive maintenance scheduling Work with Stock & Procurement Manager/Stores & Assets Managers to ensure that materials are available as required Manage the day to day delivery of 3rd party Engineering contractors on site Lead management of incident and problem resolution across Engineering, report on performance and escalate issues Measure and report on performance of MTTR and MTBF, and take action to improve performance Ensure Health & Safety practices are adhered to within the site in relation to Engineering (Health & Safety) Manage the team to deliver excellence through effective processes and ways of working, driving availability to the site and for customers (Operational Excellence) Manage the team by demonstrating an ‘In-Touch’ with customers approach, driving our service proposition with a quality mind-set (Service & Customer) Manage a committed fully engaged team, who feel supported and recognised for their contribution; develops colleagues through the career path and ensure the team are trained and complaint to perform their roles. Technical skills/business skills required
A strong Engineering pedigree in automation, mechanical, electrical and TPM Qualified Engineer in an appropriate Engineering discipline (minimum ONC or equivalent) and relevant experience (desirable; HNC/HND qualification) Experience of leading and managing a team, and managing diverse stakeholders Tenacious and adaptable leader who can deliver at pace Strong planning, organising and prioritisation skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Analysis and problem solving, driving for the root cause and permanent corrective action Experience of working in an automated distribution environment, and understanding of best in class retail logistics Able to manage delivery of on-site projects Experience of operating in a lean operating environment Desirable: Qualified to IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition; Health & Safety qualification
