Control Room Team Manager
Hours: Shifts (Days & Nights)
We are currently recruiting for a control room team manager on behalf of one of the most dynamic and successful businesses in the UK.
We are looking for a forward thinking control room professional that has an understanding of high volume warehousing.
The ideal candidate for this challenging role will have experience of managing automation and systems software, including the flow and control of orders (inbound and outbound) within the distribution centre.

To assist the Control Room Shift Manager to ensure that Control Room teams carry out consistent operating practices across the 24hr/7day pattern and to deputise in the absence of the Control Room Manager when necessary.
To ensure all key performance indicators are monitored and achieved through effective management of direct reports.
To contribute to and support the day to day operational strategy through effective communication and the proactive approach to management of automation.
To have accountability and responsibility for the performance of the department(s) and achievement of all KPI’s.
To ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met.
To partner with peers and other key contacts throughout Distribution, Head Office and Stores.
To identify opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvements in ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness.
To provide management colleagues and 3rd party suppliers with statistical reports, analysis and recommendations to help to drive continuous improvement.
To attend management and project meetings in the absence of the Control Room Manager to provide advice and guidance in relation to Control Room activities and systems and the impact of these on proposed operational plans.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
PC literate, with the ability & willingness to learn & become expert in new systems
Ability to problem solve & create process improvements
Significant amount of Control Room exposure
Excellent communications skills, both written & verbal
The ability to influence and challenge at all levels
Experience of a high-volume warehouse or production environment
The ability to manage a team
Experience in operating ERP systems
