Job Title: Engineering Team Leader Location: Leicester Shifts: 4 on 4 off 12 hour days and nights Salary: £34,000 + Bonus + Shares + Final Salary Pension The overall purpose of this role is leading a shift of engineers to ensure an effective engineering service is provided you MUST have experience in a Food environment and good working knowledge of planned & preventative maintenance of automated /PLC controlled food manufacturing machinery. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of 6 delivering planned maintenance and continuous improvement as well as a reactive service and machine modifications. Job role - In addition to duties as an engineer 1, Provide site with strong Engineering leadership. 2, Provide Engineering maintenance expertise on shift to improve safety, people, cost and service. 3, Support operations by providing strong engineering expertise on site to sustain high performance 4, Process data to analyse plant performance to drive cost effective maintenance and plant efficiency. 5, Leads and support all improvements through the change management process. 6, Support implementation of system upgrades to maintain systems on shift. 7, Ensure contractors provide a service that is quality driven and value for money 8, Provide Leadership to Shift Engineers to develop functional maintenance skills. 9, Manages repair and maintenance budgets on site for shift. 10, Identify source and ensure availability of maintenance spares. 11, Plan and execute the maintenance for engineering shutdowns and start-ups. 12 Set up communications with the Safety and Technical teams, such that all works carried out fulfill all business standards. 13, Provide shift cover to meet business needs. 14, Set up and roll out cross shift communication systems for engineering. Key Skills and Experience (Competencies) Fully competent engineer IT literate basic IT skills and ability to train further (eg shires) Numerate and literate Driving license Flexible with shift patterns to include weekend and other shifts Experience of or potential to lead others Willing to conduct training as required For a full Job spec please apply | ||||
